ADA (Aqua Design Amano) is a premium Japanese aquarium brand and the pioneer of the “Nature Aquarium” style — a philosophy of aquascaping that blends natural landscapes with aquatic environments to create highly aesthetic, balanced ecosystems in glass tanks. The brand doesn’t just sell equipment — it promotes a living art form inspired by nature. ADA produces products for all aspects of high-end planted aquariums, including aquarium tanks, ultra-clear glass, lighting systems, CO₂ setups, substrates, fertilisers, maintenance tools, filtration systems, water treatment, and layout materials. Originally founded by world-renowned photographer and aquascaping artist Takashi Amano, ADA has shaped the modern aquarium hobby worldwide, not only through products but also via education, publications (like Aqua Journal), layout galleries, and the International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest (IAPLC) — the largest aquascape competition globally.
