EI (Estimative Index) Method
The EI method aims for nutrient-rich conditions to prevent deficiencies:
- Nitrogen (NO3): 20-30 ppm
- Phosphorus (PO4): 2-3 ppm
- Potassium (K): 20-30 ppm
- Iron (Fe): 0.5-1 ppm
Lean Dosing
Lower nutrient levels for slower-growing tanks or to control algae:
- Nitrogen: 5-10 ppm
- Phosphorus: 0.5-1 ppm
- Potassium: 10-15 ppm
